Eligibility for Membership:
According to the bylaws of the USNTC Bainbridge Association is as follows:

Article II. Membership

Section 1. Membership eligibility
  1. Membership shall be open to persons who:
    1. Served in or were employed by military commands located on the Center, or
    2. Are spouses, widows, widowers or children of veterans, defined in Sections 2 and 3 of this Article, who served in military commands located on the Center, and who also
    3. Fit into one or more of the categories described in Sections 2 through 5 of this Article.
  2. The Association may give priority to or limit membership in some membership categories to maintain its status as a tax-exempt veterans' organization under current laws or so contributions to the Association may be deductible on contributors' tax returns.
Section 2. War Veterans.
War veterans are persons who served in the United States Armed Forces during a period of war (war periods are as defined by federal law).

Section 3. Veterans other than War Veterans.
Veterans other than War Veterans are present or former members of the Armed Forces of the United States other than those classified as War Veterans under Section 2 of this Article.

Section 4. Spouses and Cadets.
  1. Spouses include only spouses, widows or widowers of veterans who are eligible for membership under Section 1, paragraph A.2 of this Article.
  2. Cadets include only students in college or university ROTC programs or at Armed Forces academies who are eligible for membership under Section 1, paragraph A.2 of this Article.
Section 5. Other eligible persons.
Other persons eligible for membership are civilian employees of military activities located on the Center and non-veteran children who are eligible for membership under Section 1, paragraph A.2 of this Article.

Section 6. Granting Membership.
Memberships shall be granted to eligible applicants upon receipt of their membership forms, dues and any documentation required by the Board of Directors to prove their eligibility for membership under this Article.

Section 7. Honorary Membership.
The Board of Directors may award honorary memberships to distinguished individuals to further the purposes of the Association. Honorary members do not have a right to vote or hold office in the Association.

Section 8. Membership Issues.
The Board of Directors shall decide all issues regarding eligibility for membership and the categorization of memberships.
