Went through boot camp at Bainbridge April 1955 and then on to Radio School till December 1955. Company 158, drill instructor A.C. Smith. Was on base drill team. Upon completion of Radio School went to first duty station U.S.S. Guide MSO-447 in Long Beach, CA.
