Was in co 232 June-Aug 1955. Co commander was GM1 Thomas. I remember the grinder was very hot in August.also, not a good experience for me personally. First assignment was USS Grand Canyon AD28 - 2nd div deck ape for 3 months then transferred to O div Radio shack; then RMA school Norfolk. Last duty was Navcommsta 1st Navdistrict Boston as a RM2 got out March1960. Sometimes wished that I stayed in.

Arrived Bainbridge Jan !943.After several weeks volunteered for sea duty Was sent to Little Creek Ampib Base Va. April 1943 was assigned to USS LST 381. No. Africa, Sicily, Italy, Burma and Normandy, D-day. next 90 days 23 round trips to the beaches. Then security dept. Camp Bradford, until wars End.
