I enlisted two months after graduating from High School in 1954. Went from Bainbridge to the Naval Training Base in Norman ,Oklahoma for Airmen Prep School and then on to Aerographer School in Lakehurst, N.J. Subsequently stationed at the Naval Air Station in Annapolis, Md and the USS Rhodes, DER-384 out of Newport, R.I.

Just visited the location to find a CDL license testing skills test in progress. Front gate did not resemble my recall. My recall was very sharp because my wife’s wedding ring was bought there and still wears it today! Love those memories!
