Boot January 1961. Company 3. Was cold and snow banks over our heads. Wind blowing across the grinder could blow a person away! We had the old WWII barracks, seersucker dresses and cotton stockings with seams up the back that we had to worry about keeping straight for inspection. Loved those boondocker shoes. Odd as it may seem, I enjoyed boot.
When were you at USNTC?: January 1961 began boot training

If any of you Radioman Class "A" or Class "B" School graduates eventually were lucky enough to be stationed at Navcommsta Londonderry in Derry, Northern Ireland, you might want to contact me for information regarding that group's Alumni Association. They have over 600 members and hold reunions every two years. The 2007 one is being held back in Derry, Northern Ireland. Finally, if any Radioman "A" School Class 1/64 members are still out there, contact me. Mike Kelly and I are looking for Scoby and a few others.

What was your unit / rank?: RMSN in Radio 'A' School Class 1/64.

I loved Bainbridge. I use to get on the bus all the time which took me all over the base and went ice skating when the flag was green. My dad was stationed there and I remember going to Bainbridge Elem. The huge swimming pool and going to the movies for $1.00 and buying popcorn reece cup and slim jim with that dollar. I remember those colorful trailers right inside the gate.
