July - October 1956. Co. 38, 4th Regiment, barracks 412 (lower - thanks, Larry). We had someone dubbed the "slasher" who was going to wash houses and slashing the clothes on the lines. Don't know if it was base wide.

This all came later: Company, Barracks, Chow runner, Uniform of the day, Grinder, A-one toop hareep four, Washhouse, Clothes stops, Diddy bag, Service week, Butt kit, Quarterdeck, Waves, Field day, Forward hut, Chaplains’ flag, Inspection, Skin Heads, Scrounge lounge, Straggle, 1st and 2nd platoons, Squads, Dress right, Present arms, Parade rest, Geedunk, Front door watch, RCPO, Sound off, Navy Exchange, Smoking lamp, Mail call, Pass in review ……….Good bye Bainbridge, Hello fleet.
